The son of actor Ronnie Barker had his case committed to the Crown court yesterday when he appeared charged with making indecent images of children.
Adam Barker, 44, of no fixed address, spent eight years on the run after being questioned over the allegations in 2004.
It is alleged that a computer seized from Barker’s home in Ealing, west London, in 2003 had thousands of indecent images of children on it. Two images were level five – the highest category – while 24 were at level four, a previous court hearing was told.
Barker was interviewed and released on bail until June 2004 but did not return.
He appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with 20 counts of making indecent images. He was remanded in custody to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on 20 September.
