A FIFE-BASED company that specialises in “high-end” oil and gas engineering work is on a global expansion drive after doubling the size of its operational base.
Established in 2004, WellTools moved to the Belleknowes Industrial Estate in Inverkeithing three years ago. It has now agreed a deal to take a further unit at the park and extend the lease on its existing building.
The firm’s general manager, Paul Hilliard, said: “The expansion of our design and manufacturing facility represents a significant step in our plan for international expansion.
“Being able to expand within the same location allows us to offer uninterrupted services to our existing clients, who have helped us grow successfully over the last seven years.”
The firm designs and develops specialised tools for the oil and gas industry spanning Europe, the Middle East, south-east Asia and the United States.
Matthew Chillingworth, asset manager with site landlord Hermes Real Estate Investment Management, said: “Belleknowes continues to build its reputation as a location of choice for local Fife-based businesses as well as national companies.
