Miller Construction has appointed industry veteran Charlie Dunn as managing director of its Scottish operations.
Dunn, who spent 32 years at Bam Construction before joining Hull-based engineering firm Spencer as commercial director in February, takes up his new role on 5 November.
Chief executive Chris Webster said: “Scotland is an important region for our business and I have every confidence that Charlie will be instrumental in delivering our services as we progress with our strategy of providing end-to-end services for our clients across the UK.”
Edinburgh-based Miller posted turnover of £238.6 million last year and has set itself the target of growing that to £600m by 2015.
The firm secured orders worth £320m during the first half of this year, bringing its total order book to £805m – an increase of 34 per cent since 2011.
