Glasgow Opportunities, an organisation aimed at supporting start-ups and growing companies, is poised to go into voluntary liquidation with the loss of 12 jobs.
Bryan Jackson, corporate recovery partner with PKF, said the body, set up in 1983, had been hit by the loss of a key contract from Glasgow council.
Pettigrew on board at Clydesdale Bank
Clydesdale Bank has appointed Jim Pettigrew as a non-executive director. He also joins the board of National Australia Group Europe and will chair both boards’ audit committees. Pettigrew sits on a number of boards and was until recently chief executive of CMC Markets.
Asos finally seals Bostock deal
Internet fashion firm Asos finally confirmed it was hiring former Marks & Spencer executive Kate Bostock yesterday.
Bostock, who has been courted by the firm since last year, will join its board in January as executive director for product and trading.
