A MULTIPLE sclerosis sufferer has backed calls for the NHS to give free vitamin D supplements to all young children.
Activists at the conference unanimously backed a plea for the health service to look at the cost and viability of giving the vitamin to inder-sixes.
Nationalists also urged NHS Scotland bosses to work to raise awareness of the benefits of vitamin D, amid suggestions that a deficiency could be linked to MS.
Tracy Boswell, a member of the SNP’s Eastwood branch, was one of those calling for action.
Ms Boswell, who is an MS sufferer, described the condition as the “hell of all diseases”.
