THE appointment of a new vice-chair at NHS Lothian is expected to be confirmed today.
Shulah Allan, a leading charity worker and former director of the Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations Council, was the only NHS Lothian board member to express interest in the vacant post.
Mrs Allan was awarded the MBE in 2010 for her services to the voluntary sector. The 67-year-old was appointed to the NHS Lothian board in January 2011.
