DRUG gangs have begun importing high-grade “luxury” Moroccan cannabis to compete with the popularity of Scottish-grown “grass”.
Police across the country have seized hundreds of kilos of the so-called “pollum hashish” – which is so powerful that some users are vomiting and passing out after using it.
Historically, much of the cannabis resin made in Scotland has been of a poor quality, but drug gangs are increasingly having to compete with popular herbal cannabis and grass grown in secret cultivations and farms across Scotland.
Importers are said to be trying to lure customers back by selling them the Moroccan “pollum” variety – known as “pollen” on the street.
