DUNDEE-BASED I-Design has claimed an industry first by updating its cash machine software to remember cardholders’ favourite transactions.
The Aim-quoted company, which runs marketing software on ATMs for banks including Royal Bank of Scotland and Santander, said yesterday it was launching the update across Nationwide Building Society’s estate of 2,000 cash machines.
The program works automatically and presents cardholders with their most used transactions more prominently when they use an ATM. Nationwide said a pilot showed 68 per cent of customers chose transaction from the favourites section.
I-Design chief executive Ana Stewart said: “Extensive market research and field trials consistently proved that this unique service delivers great value to customers.”
